The World Bogsnorkelling Championships 62127.JPG
The World Bogsnorkelling Championships were conceived in 1985 by Gordon Green, former landlord of The Neuadd Arms Pub, and are held every August Bank Holiday at Waen Rhydd Bog in the foothills of the Cambrian Mountains. Competitors swim two lengths of a 55 metre trench cut through a peat bog wearing snorkel and flippers without using conventional swimming strokes. The previous world record held by Andrew Holmes was broken in 2013 by Dineka Maguire with a time of 1 min 23.13 secs. Llanwrtyd Wells, Powys, UK. 24th August, 2014. Photo: SnapDragon
